Job Purpose
The incumbent will be responsible for identifying key opportunities and expanding the Maternal & Child Health (MCH) Program’s portfolio through proposal development and grant writing, as well as providing technical support to the team for assessing and documenting progress and results of current and new projects in the portfolio. He/She should be committed to delivering high-impact, actionable research and help disseminate key learnings through presentations and peer-reviewed publications.and help disseminate key learnings through presentations and peer-reviewed publications.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Work with MCH leadership to actively identify and apply for research and implementation grants.
- Prepare and review comprehensive research protocols, including developing data collection instruments and toolkits and seeking ethical approvals.
- Actively publish project findings in peer-reviewed journals.
- Represent IRD in international and local conferences.
- Provide liaising support to 1-2 projects by establishing team coordination.
- Prepare donor reports for ongoing and new projects through liaising with project teams.
- Develop briefs, presentations, and reports that describe and interpret project findings and provide actionable insights.
- Collaborate effectively with internal and external partners to share project findings, build relationships and expand the portfolio of the MCH project
- Any other ad-hoc tasks assigned.
